Our robot for FIRST Steamworks, Bracket Buster, went through many key changes during the 2017 season. Originally including mechanisms for fuel collection and shooting, Bracket Buster weighed in at almost 120 pounds. After the first of the four events the team played at, Bracket Buster was stripped of its fuel capabilities, and was redesigned to focus more on gear delivery. PID control for straight driving and vision-based autonomous modes were the next things to be added, which led the team to be eligible to compete at both the state and world championships.
